Perry Schmidt-Leukel is Professor of Religious Studies and Intercultural Theology and one of the Principal Investigators of the Cluster of Excellence “Religion and Politics” at the University of Münster, Germany. His research focuses on the theology of religions, inter-faith relations, Buddhist-Christian dialogue and interreligious theology. Among his 28 books are Understanding Buddhism (Dunedin, 2006), Transformation by Integration (SCM, 2009), (ed.) Buddhism and Religious Diversity, 4 vols. (Routledge, 2013); (co-ed.) Religious Diversity in Chinese Thought (Palgrave, 2013) and (co-ed.) Interreligious Comparison in Religious Studies and Theology (Bloomsbury, 2016). His 2015 Gifford Lectures have been published as Religious Pluralism and Interreligious Theology (Orbis, 2017). |
