Monsignore Ortwin Gebauer, born 1941 in Cologne, studied German literature, philosophy and theology at the Universities of Bonn and Munich and received a master’ degree. He worked as teacher for German language, religion and philosophy at the Marists’ College in Mindelheim. In 1980, he was ordained to
the priesthood for the diocese Augsburg, worked in the parishes of Schwabmünchen, Schongau, Bad Wörishofen, Lindau and Mindelheim and was dean for this region from 1994 to 2010. Doctoral studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
