Damian Milliken, O.S.B., was born in Elmira, New York and became a Missionary Benedictine of St. Paul’s Abbey, Newton in 1952. Since 1960, he has lived, worked and prayed in Tanzania. After numerous missionary assignments, he started the girl’s school of Mazinde Juu in 1980 which has received many awards for outstanding achievements.
